I'm Liisa Tuimala, the founder of Steely Pop. Let me tell you our story and introduce myself along the way.

I started my entrepreneurial journey just over 10 years ago, when I founded my own jewelry company, Nouseva Myrsky (Rising Storm). My jewelry was inspired by Finland's wild nature and a commitment to sustainability. I made jewelry from recycled materials, drawing on timeless style and the beautiful forms found in nature.
It was important to me that my jewelry would withstand time and wear without causing allergic reactions. I found a good manufacturer to supply high-quality findings for my jewelry. I specifically wanted to use stainless steel components, as my customers gave great feedback about them. The parts stayed unchanged and bright even with heavy use.
And that's how it all began!
In 2014, I started selling steel findings to other jewelry makers too. I set up an online store and sourced my first products to sell. At first, my customers were my friends, and little by little the business grew.
The availability of steel findings in Finland was rather poor at the time, and demand for them was high. Jewelry entrepreneurs found the quality of the findings good and were looking for new pieces for their own jewelry. That's how Steely Pop got its start!
Like any business, Steely Pop's history includes several different phases. One thing worth mentioning is my friend Jaana Ojalainen's contribution to developing Steely Pop between 2017 and 2022. I'm grateful to Jaana for managing the store so well, and especially for always serving our customers with such dedication.
In 2023, we converted the company into a limited liability company. Around the same time, we were awarded the Key Flag symbol by the Association for Finnish Work, which we're proud of.
In 2024, we launched sales to Sweden. This has brought us many new customers, while our sales in Finland have also continued to grow. Thanks to this growth, we've been able to employ subcontractors and create work for skilled makers.
From the very beginning, Steely Pop's guiding thread has been to focus specifically on selling stainless steel jewelry findings.
That decision has paid off, and thanks to our high-quality findings, Steely Pop has grown more popular among jewelry makers year after year.
We want to be a creative partner for jewelry makers — someone to turn to for all things jewelry findings. Long-term, meaningful customer relationships and going above and beyond for our customers are personal goals of mine.
Tuomas and I work on Steely Pop full-time together. We each own half of the company, making us a great husband-and-wife business partner team.
One of our ongoing goals is to make our operations increasingly sustainable and stable. When it comes to quality, we want to be a trailblazer in the jewelry findings industry.
Ultimately, Steely Pop exists solely for our customers. We want to thank all of you — both new customers and those who have used our products for years, hobbyists and entrepreneurs alike. A warm thank you for being our customer and choosing our products!
